Registered Service Manager – Supported Accommodation (Young People)
Location: South London
Salary: £48,000 – £54,000 + On-Call Allowance
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Registered Service Manager to oversee their Supported Accommodation services for young people aged 16+. This is a key leadership role within a dynamic organisation committed to delivering high-quality, safe, and nurturing environments across multiple accommodation settings in South London.
About the Role
You will be responsible for the operational leadership of five Supported Accommodation homes, ensuring excellence in safeguarding, service delivery, staff development, and regulatory compliance.
You will also provide direct line management to three Home Managers and one Outreach Manager, as well as leading the staff team at one of our homes that does not currently have an appointed manager.
Primary place of work: Their main office (based within one of the homes), with regular weekly visits to all supported accommodation services and occasional work-from-home flexibility.
You will be responsible for managing your own diary in collaboration with the Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the delivery of high-quality supported accommodation across five homes.
- Line manage Home Managers and the Outreach Manager, providing guidance, supervision and performance management.
- Provide direct management to the team at one home without a designated manager.
- Ensure all services meet or exceed Ofsted standards and regulatory requirements.
- Take the lead in quality assurance, incident reviews, audits and action plans.
- Promote a positive safeguarding culture and ensure young people’s needs remain central to all decision-making.
- Oversee rota management, staffing levels, and agency cover where required.
- Manage your own schedule while maintaining effective communication with the Director.
- Support the on-call rota for the organisation.
- Travel between homes as required (a driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred).
Requirements
- Experience in managing supported accommodation, semi-independent services, or similar provisions for children/young people.
- Strong leadership and people-management skills.
- Excellent understanding of safeguarding, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
- Confident managing your time independently and working across multiple sites.
- Ability to build strong relationships with staff, young people, and external professionals.
- Willingness to register with Ofsted as the Registered Manager (full support provided).
- Ideally a driver with access to your own vehicle.
