Reports to: Senior Carer
About the Role:
We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and committed Care Assistants to join our dedicated care team. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and support to our residents, helping them maintain their dignity, independence, and overall wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support with daily living activities, including washing, dressing, and toileting.
- Assist with mobility, moving, and handling in a safe and respectful manner.
- Support residents during mealtimes, including assistance with eating and drinking.
- Administer medication (if trained and required) under supervision and in accordance with policies.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in resident condition.
- Engage residents in meaningful activities and companionship.
- Promote independence and choice whenever possible.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Adhere to safeguarding policies and ensure the wellbeing of all residents.
Essential Requirements:
- Genuine passion for caring for others.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable (But Not Essential):
- Experience in a care setting (residential, domiciliary, hospital, etc.)
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care.
- Knowledge of dementia care or manual handling techniques.
- Medication administration experience.
