Job Title: Care Assistant

Location: Brighton
Salary: £14.44 – £15.05 per hour

Contract Type: Full Time
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, shift work
Reports to: Senior Carer

About the Role:

We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and committed Care Assistants to join our dedicated care team. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and support to our residents, helping them maintain their dignity, independence, and overall wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care and support with daily living activities, including washing, dressing, and toileting.
• Assist with mobility, moving, and handling in a safe and respectful manner.
• Support residents during mealtimes, including assistance with eating and drinking.
• Administer medication (if trained and required) under supervision and in accordance with policies.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in resident condition.
• Engage residents in meaningful activities and companionship.
• Promote independence and choice whenever possible.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Adhere to safeguarding policies and ensure the wellbeing of all residents.

Essential Requirements:

• Genuine passion for caring for others.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude.
• Right to work in the UK.

Desirable (But Not Essential):

• Experience in a care setting (residential, domiciliary, hospital, etc.)
• NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care.
• Knowledge of dementia care or manual handling techniques.
• Medication administration experience.
