Hours: 10:00 to 16:00 (flex), Monday to Friday

 

A rare opportunity has arisen to work for this established construction business on an interim basis to start ASAP.

 

Reporting to the Finance Manager and Finance Director, the Purchase Ledger Clerk administers the purchase ledger and ensures all outward payments are made in accordance with appropriate timescales and within relevant payment terms and collation of weekly timesheets and payroll information for external payroll bureau.

 

Daily responsibilities will include:

 

  • Deal with the processing of expenses, overheads and consultancy fees
  • Manage the good received notes and reconciliation process
  • Process all purchase invoices on a timely basis
  • Process purchase ledger payments on a timely basis
  • Carry out monthly supplier statement reconciliations
  • Collate weekly timesheets and ensure all weekly payroll documentation is up to date and readily available in advance of external payroll bureau deadlines
  • Assist the Finance Director and Finance Manager with any ad-hoc duties.

  • Understands and supports effective presentation skills within the team
  • Demonstrates a good standard of written and verbal communication
  • AAT, ACCA or CIMA qualification or equivalent experience
  • Has energy, drive and enthusiasm achieve personal and business goals
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
