Hours/Benefits: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday (flexible hours)

 

An award winning charitable organisation based in Kenley are looking for a part-qualified Financial Accountant to provide all aspects of technical support to the Senior Finance Manager. 

 

What will your working week be like?

 

Your main responsibilities will be to provide financial data to trial balance, including balance sheet reconciliations and the production of reports for the Senior Finance Manager and Senior Management Team as required.

 

  • Process the monthly payroll including statutory returns and payments to the Inland revenue and pension provider

 

Technical Support

  • To produce accurate and timely draft management accounts on a monthly and quarterly basis for the Senior Finance Manager including:
    • Variance analysis
    • Accruals
    • Prepayments
    • Depreciation
    • Journal postings
    • Commentaries for inclusion in reports being produced by the Senior Finance Manager
  • Responsible for the integrity of the balance sheet including all nominal account reconciliation
  • To be responsible for maintaining the component and asset registers
  • Preparation of draft annual budgets and quarterly forecasts in collaboration with relevant staff
  • To carry out intercompany and all other bank and loan reconciliations

 

Payroll

  • To accurately process the monthly payroll, being responsible for all functions involved in the payroll making appropriate payments to and liaising with Inland Revenue
  • Ensure timely payment to the Association’s Pension administrators
  • Process and submit all FPS monthly submissions and year end returns.
  • Process and submit all Pension Regulatory Returns

 

Who will this role suit?

 

  • Qualified or Part Qualified ACCA Accountant or equivalent, including post qualification experience at management accountant level or equivalent
  • Financial/Management accounting experience including reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, budgeting and monthly reporting
  • Proven accuracy and attention to detail – ability to scrutinise financial information
  • Must have experience of a payroll in excess of 50 employees
  • Must be proficient in excel up to and including vlookups
  • Good communication skills at all levels
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Good Team Player
  • Previous finance experience working in the Housing Sector would be beneficial
