This is a great opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Assistant to join a UK-leading Equipment Company, located in the Biggin Hill area. The business are specialists in the supply of access solutions from their busy distribution centre, and with a multimillion-pound turnover, are leaders in their field.

Salary: £23,800

Benefits: Annual salary reviews, progression opportunities, pension, 20 days holiday (+ bank holidays) birthday days off, company social events, free parking, casual dress code

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm

Location: Biggin Hill (own transport essential)

As a Warehouse Operative, you will be an integral part of the busy distribution hub at their Head Office. Your primary responsibilities will involve handling goods-in, goods-out, spares, and product returns. Working closely with a small team of staff, your role is crucial to the smooth operation of the department and requires close interaction with various areas of the business.

  • Pick & pack goods for despatch
  • Receive & check goods delivered
  • Maintain stock rotation
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping
  • Complete all relevant documentation to the required standard

Essential requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a warehouse /picking type role
  • Good communication and timekeeping skills
  • A forklift Licence would be advantageous but not essential
  • Physically fit (heavy lifting will be involved)
  • High level of attention to detail

Is this role suitable for you?

Candidates should take a flexible approach to work, be reliable and punctual and be able to meet the demands of a role that can involve the lifting and moving of heavy goods. The capability to work alone but also as part of a team is essential. A forklift truck licence would be an advantage but is not essential for the right candidate.  Full training will be given.
