Our client is an award winning, Business Travel Specialist who covers all aspects of business travel for all locations within the UK to Worldwide destinations.  From booking air fares, hotel reservations, and theatre tickets through to car hire, travel insurance, our client offers an extensive range of Business Travel options to businesses.  Established over 30 years ago, they have an excellent reputation within the industry are looking for a new Business Travel Consultant to join their busy office in East Grinstead.

Salary: £20,000 to £24,000 – there may be flexibility for candidates with extensive experience

Location: East Grinstead

Working hours: 2 week rota working Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.30pm and alternative Saturdays 9.30am to 5.30pm, with a day in lieu the following week.

Salary: £20,000 to £24,000

Your working week:

  • Working within a team of 4, you will be helping companies with their business travel requests via email and telephone calls.
  • Offering excellent customer service and professionalism at all times, you’ll be providing travel options that meet the clients needs by offering the best prices available on the best routes.
  • Proactively reacting quickly to any last minute chances to booking requests and travel plans.
  • Able to offer solutions to travel queries.
  • Booking European and International flights using GDS
  • Assisting with hotels, limousine and car hire bookings

The ideal candidate would have the following:

  • Previous experience with the role
  • Knowledge of Sabre GDS system an advantage.
  • Needs to be familiar with visa services, have a good telephone manner and work under pressure. IT knowledge of spreadsheets also an advantage
  • It would be an advantage if you have a proven travel retail background and are able to switch roles easily
  • The ability to ‘think outside of the box’ – problem solving, and someone who will socialise and network
