We are pleased to be working with a local business to support with their current recruitment need to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic administrator to join the Client Services Team as a Client Services Advisor working within a larger College Group, based at their Redhill site.

Offering a competitive salary of up to £22,587 (Subject to qualifications, skills and experience), Hours: 8:45am – 5pm this organisation also offers 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and closure days (pro rata), free parking, employee support services, free gym, discounted salon use, staff classes.

You will be responsible for providing information and advice to prospective students and delivering an excellent level of customer service. The post holder should also understand and apply, or be willing to upskill, read, understand and apply the ESFA funding rules that apply to the College’s courses.

Key Accountabilities:

  • To respond to all internal and external enquiries in a timely and efficient manner, maintaining a high level of customer service at all times.
  • To understand and apply, or be willing to upskill, read, understand and apply the ESFA funding rules that apply to the College’s courses.
  • To work in partnership with Curriculum Departments and act as the key contact for all internal and external enquiries regarding student and course information and advice.
  • To work closely with the Curriculum Administrators to ensure course literature and information is available to students.
  • To process learner applications and organise interviews with tutors.
  • To undertake initial student assessment interviews and process course offers in a timely manner.
  • To provide initial guidance to learners on financial and additional support opportunities, referring to other Student Support colleagues when relevant
  • To provide guidance to learners about eligibility for fee waivers and to ensure accurate cash collection and MIS data entry processes are followed
  • To process enrolments and authorised data amendments, ensuring accuracy and completion in line with College MIS guidance.
  • To maintain appropriate records in line with the audit requirements
  • To assist with College events, including enrolment sessions and open evenings in line with the College Calendar.
  • To liaise with external agencies and build and maintain strong referral and support networks
  • To work on a shift basis for evening client services duties.

The successful candidate must have:

  • An English & Maths qualification at Level 2 or GCSE
  • Previous administrative experience
  • Excellent at data input and high attention to detail when processing data
  • The ability to multi-task and flexibility to meet varying deadlines and business needs
  • Good computer skills (in particular – Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • A confident personality, with the ability to manage difficult students and situations
  • A Team player attitude and be supportive of the wider Exam Team (Invigilators, ESC Team, Management)
  • Previous experience of working in the education sector is advantageous
