We have a really exciting opportunity for an Office Manager ideally with a background in the Mechanical, Plumbing and Heating  arena to join a successful business in Caterham.

 

Due to recent contract wins and continued growth, they are now forging ahead with their planned growth strategy and are looking for an experienced Office Manager to bolster their existing team.

 

Their works sectors include Residential, Commercial, Education, Healthcare and Leisure and they have their own CAD / Design Department as well as dedicated management and installation teams.

 

The range of services the client undertakes and the role will assist in include, drainage, hot and cold services, boilers and heating services, ventilation systems, Air Conditioning, Installations and Controls, amongst others.

 

What will the role of Office Manager look like?

 

  • Material orders and Procurement
  • Put together Operations and Maintenance manuals
  • Organise and coordinate operations in ways that ensure maximum productivity
  • Provide hands on support to the Estimators to assist with winning tenders.
  • Ensure that the company has adequate and suitable resources to complete its activities (e.g., people, material, equipment etc.)
  • Design and implement business plans and strategies to promote the attainment of goals
  • Supervise the work of employees and provide feedback and counsel to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Assess overall company performance against objectives
  • Represent the company in events, conferences etc
  • Ensure adherence to legal rules and guidelines
  • Attend meetings with Senior management
  • Ensuring that Health and Safety policies are up to date

 

Who will this role suit?

 

Our client is looking to appoint a highly motivated person with strong leadership skills who ideally has experience working within the Mechanical, Plumbing and Heating industry. As an established Heating and Ventilation Contractor, you will ideally have had hands on experience working within this area of expertise.

  • Clear understanding of operational and maintenance procedures.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal abilities and timekeeping skills
  • Thorough understanding of diverse business processes and strategy development
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, databases, and information systems
  • Good understanding of research methods and data analysis techniques

 

 

The successful applicant will be working on a self-employed basis and will be looking to earn £150-£170 per day. This can be negotiable for the right individual.
