Support Worker – Children’s Residential Care
Brighton
£28,000 – £32,000 (depending on experience) + sleep-ins + progression

Let’s be honest… this isn’t an easy job.

If you’re looking for something where you can switch off at the end of the day and not think about it again, this probably isn’t for you.

But if you’re someone who notices when a young person is having a bad day before they say a word…
If you’re the kind of person who remembers the little things that matter…
And if you can show up consistently, even when it’s tough…

Then keep reading.

We are working with a children’s residential provider in Brighton who are building a team that actually cares about what they’re doing. This is not about ticking boxes or just getting through a shift. It’s about creating stability, routine and trust for young people who haven’t always had that.

The role:

You will be part of a close-knit team supporting young people in a residential setting. Day to day, that means:

  • Building genuine relationships (not just supervising)
  • Supporting routines, education and daily structure
  • Managing behaviours with patience and consistency
  • Working as part of a team that backs each other

What matters here:

  • You care about doing the job properly
  • You’re reliable and emotionally consistent
  • You can handle pressure without taking it personally
  • You want to be part of something that actually makes a difference

Experience helps but isn’t everything :

If you’ve worked in children’s residential care, great. If you haven’t, but you’ve got the right attitude and life experience, we still want to hear from you.

What you will get:

  • A supportive environment (not just words, actual support)
  • Training and progression opportunities
  • A chance to build a proper career in children’s residential care
  • A team that understands this job isn’t always easy
  • Free on-site parking
  • 28 days holiday
  • Overtime payments
  • Workplace Pension

No corporate nonsense. No being left in the dark. Just a straightforward opportunity to do a job that matters, with people who take it seriously.
