Since 1994, YourRecruit has redefined recruitment standards. Starting with just one Consultant, we quickly secured a key contract to supply 30 temps to a marketing company in Croydon. By the end of our first year, we expanded to five consultants, building a reputation for excellence and dedication.

We now have a large, happy team of experienced Consultants and Resourcers, plus Administrative and Accounts staff who make sure the business runs like clockwork and ensure a seamless recruitment service at all times.

My name is Nicola Mae Sales, and I am the founder and Managing Director of YourRecruit.

My family live in Copthorne and comprise of my husband Martyn, daughter, Kai and my cat and horse.

In recruitment, no two days are the same and I work alongside a happy all women team where daily belly laughter is the norm. We do take our jobs seriously and it is a pleasure speaking to so many lovely people each day. It is even more of a pleasure when someone screams in excitement when they are offered a job; this why recruitment is so exciting because we get to make so many people happy and, in some cases, it can be life changing for them.

Hi, I’m Nicky Waiton, one of the Group Directors here at YourRecruit. I kicked off my recruitment career as a Recruitment Administrator at 21, and I’ve seen the industry change in so many ways since then. It’s been a journey—sometimes challenging, but always rewarding—and my passion for connecting the right people with the right opportunities has only grown stronger. Leading a team that’s just as committed to excellence and innovation as I am is something I’m really proud of.

When I’m not at work, you’ll likely find me at my happy place by the beach, where I spend most weekends soaking up the sea breeze. If I’m not there, I’m probably enjoying a glass (or two) with my amazing friends and family. Hi, I’m Laura Hitchens, one of the Group Directors at YourRecruit. After more than a decade with the company, I’ve become a core part of the team—practically part of the furniture!

With nearly 20 years in recruitment, I’ve experienced the highs and lows that come with the territory. But recruitment is in my blood, and I’m passionate about guiding both clients and candidates through their ever-changing journeys. My job allows me to transform lives, environments, and careers – there are very few roles that offer that level of impact, and I cherish it every day. I can’t imagine doing anything else—unless, of course, I suddenly became a millionaire!

Outside of work, I’m fortunate to have a wonderful network of friends and family. My two beautiful daughters, Isla and Layla, keep me on my toes during the day, while evenings are often spent unwinding with my husband and a glass (or bottle!) of wine. On weekends, you’ll find me lunching with friends, exploring new restaurants, or hosting lively dinner parties/bbqs at home. Whether it’s a spontaneous road trip, a day at the spa, or a cheeky weekend getaway, I’m always up for an adventure!

My name is Melanie and I’m a Senior Recruitment Consultant at YourRecruit. Having joined the company in 2016, I’m delighted to say I’ve found my forever job!

I love the camaraderie within the team, and the fact that no two days are the same. Teamwork is key, and we all support each other to be the best we can be in our roles, which is unusual in this field. Helping candidates with their job search is very rewarding, there’s nothing better than having the privilege to tell them they’ve secured their dream job! Equally, I love getting to know clients, understanding their business needs and offering solutions to help them find the new team member they’re looking for.

Outside of work, I’m a wife and a mum to twin boys who keep me on my toes. Twice a week I can be found watching rugby and cheering the boys on, alongside Nicky and her son. When I’m not playing taxi driver to the boys, I’m an avid DIY-er and enjoy being creative.

Hello! I’m Grace, the Recruitment Operations Specialist at YourRecruit, where I’ve been proudly helping shape careers since 2021, right after finishing my A-levels.

Recruitment is an adventure—no two days are ever the same, and I wouldn’t have it any other way! I’m fortunate to work with an incredible team that makes every challenge feel like a new opportunity. I have learnt from some of the best in the industry and am so grateful for their guidance, encouragement and support to date. But shh, I’ll let you in on a little secret—I don’t always tell them how amazing they are (gotta keep them on their toes, right? 😉).

I’ve lived in Oxted my entire life, and it’s where I find my balance between work and play. I like to think of myself as a fun, outgoing person—if there’s something exciting happening on the weekend, you can bet I’m there! My passion doesn’t stop at work; I’m also an avid equestrian, and there’s nothing quite like the thrill of jumping with my horse.

Life at home is just as lively! My boyfriend and I are proud dog parents to four wonderful pups—three Labradors and one energetic Whippet. We even bred two of them ourselves, so they’re a big part of our world.

My name is Helen Thurgood and I am the Group Accounts Manager at YourRecruit!

I really enjoy my role and look after the day-to-day running of the accounts department responsible for all invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control and book-keeping as well as general accounts queries for the Group.

I have been working at YourRecruit for 10 years and am very lucky to work with a fabulous group of ladies who are very passionate about recruitment.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and my retired competition horse, William. We used to compete at dressage however, even in retirement, at the ripe old age of 21, he continues to surprise me and teach me new things. He’s very special.

I also enjoy socialising with friends, I love music and enjoy going to concerts and festivals, I also love dancing, when my knee lets me!
