What will your working week look like?

 

This role is specifically targeted around ensuring all learners on full time programmes receive valuable, relevant and significant work experience to support their training programme or study and progression.

 

  • The Work Placement Coach will be assigned students as caseloads, to plan work placement settings and the associated target setting.
  • You will work to timetabled class sessions, where appropriate, with students focussing on all aspects of preparing and supporting students for work placements.
  • To deliver a short training and qualifications to groups of learners.
  • Support students, through both taught and prep sessions, in meeting specific standards of employability such as CV writing skills, interview techniques and securing work placements
  • Ensure students have the technical and professional skills required in a work place setting and measuring progress and impact made throughout the placement.
  • Plan targets that support the students work experience, ensuring it enhances the full-time programme of study and will secure monitor work experience placement by way of visits and observations.
  • Work closely with employers to secure placements and ensure targets are set at the start of work experience placement and are monitored and reviewed to ensure the requirements are met.

 

Who will suit this role?

 

The successful candidate will hold experience within a teaching or training capacity with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. The role will require the successful candidates to communicate at young adult level through to a Director's post at external level.

 

In order to be successful in this role you will:

 

  • Maths and English CGSE / Level 2 qualifications
  • AET/ Train the Trainer qualification
  • Equality and Diversity Level 2
  • Safeguarding children and vulnerable adults
  • Strong account management and negotiation skills
  • Experience within the education sector
