About the Company

 

A successful and highly accredited Service and Installation business are looking to recruit a Service Controller to join the team. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, where your priorities will be ever changing – often having to work under pressure, liaising between the engineers and the customer to ensure a satisfactory resolution.

 

What will your working week be like?

 

  • Acting as first point of contact to the customer, you will be handling a high volume of inbound calls requesting technical assistance
  • Working on a busy helpdesk you will be liaising with Engineers who are based nationwide, managing their workloads on a day to day basis
  • Scheduling engineer’s diaries, organising call-outs
  • Ensuring that the customer is kept updated with arrival times
  • Provide support on quotations following the engineers visit
  • Able to determine priority and scheduling of calls
  • Accurately keeping records updated on the internal systems

 

Who will suit this role?

The successful candidate will have service industry experience, however, this is not essential and full training will be provided. You will however, have previous experience of working to tight deadlines within a helpdesk/customer service environment.

Communication is an essential part of this role as you will be liaising and updating engineers, management and customers. It is imperative that you appreciate timescales for returning calls to both field staff and customers.

 

  • Excellent Communication Skills – both written and verbal
  • Strong Customer Service skills when dealing with clients via telephone
  • Highly organised and flexible, with the ability to multitask and work to deadlines
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Fast, accurate data entry skills, high attention to detail.
  • Able to work under own initiative, be proactive and work efficiently as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Detailed message taker
  • Flexible, courteous, friendly and positive approach to work.
  • ‘Can’ do attitude
