We have a brand-new opening for a Warehouse Assistant to join this well-established organisation who are a market leader in their specialist field based at their Coulsdon site. With over 60 years in the industry, their solutions and advice provided can certainly be trusted.
With offices in Hong Kong, and a strong presence in South-East Asia they can offer an outstanding opportunity for the right candidate.
Salary: £25,000 to £28,000 depending on experience
Location: Coulsdon
Hours: 08:30 to 16:30 (30-minute lunch), Monday to Friday
Benefits: 24 days annual leave (4 to cover Christmas shutdown) plus bank holidays, company pension, after 1 year a subsided AA membership & healthcare scheme will be offered, onsite parking

Our client is looking for a bright and enthusiastic individual to undertake the role of Warehouse Assistant. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, candidates must be confident and capable of working both on their own and as part of team and have good verbal communication skills with people at all levels.
Essential requirements:
- Full/clean driving licence – due to insurance purposes, you will need to be aged 25+
- Intermediate IT skills to include MS Office and the ability to pick up internal systems quickly
- Forklift Truck licence would be an advantage
- Physically fit (heavy lifting will be involved)
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- High level of attention to detail
Your responsibilities will include:
- Pick & pack goods for despatch
- Receive & check goods delivered
- Maintain FIFO stock rotation
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping
- Complete all relevant documentation to the required standard
- Undertake production department tasks when necessary
- Undertake deliveries to key customer locations
Is this role suitable for you?
Candidates should take a flexible approach to work, be reliable and punctual and be able to meet the demands of a role that can involve the lifting and moving of heavy materials. The capability to work alone but also as part of a team is essential. A forklift truck licence would be an advantage but is not essential for the right candidate. Full training will be given.
