SEN Graduate Trainee Lecturer

Our client is looking to recruit a highly motivated and committed individual to join their Redhill based college as a SEN Graduate Trainee Lecturer. Working alongside the established teaching teams, individuals will undertake a range of activities designed to provide the foundation needed to succeed as a Lecturer. As well as on the job training, the successful applicant will work through the PTLLS and DTTLS qualifications in order to become a certified Teacher.
Throughout the training period, the successful applicant will be observing and shadowing within classroom activities and lessons and will be required to support with individualized learning to the designated learners as and when required.
Salary: £20,000 - £22,000

As a special educational needs (SEN) teacher you'll work with young adults who need extra support, or require an advanced programme of learning, in order to reach their full educational potential. You may work with individuals who have physical disabilities, sensory impairments (i.e. hearing or visual), speech and language difficulties, learning difficulties such as dyslexia, or have a combination of these difficulties.
Is this role for you?
The successful candidate must have the following skills, qualifications and attributes, along with the passion and desire to work within the education sector as a Teacher:
- A work related qualification would be beneficial, however a fully graduated candidate with the desire or hands-on experience of working within a similar environment is essential.
- The ability to engage and motivate individuals
- A professional, flexible, organised and motivational approach to work
- Good decision making skills
- Good Team Working skills
- Excellent attention to detail and strong English written skills
- Strong communication skills
No experience is required; however, you must be fully committed and motivated to working with learners and have the desire and ambition to teach.
