Customer Service Coordinator - Travel Insurance

Due to continued business growth, our client is looking to expand their insurance team to support business customers with their product upgrade and sales queries relating to their travel insurance packages. The successful Customer Sales Coordinator will work towards maximising opportunities by utilising their strong gained knowledge and skill set, ensuring the best and most appropriate products are discussed with customers during live telephone calls. This is not a hard sales roles and is in fact more customer service focused; handling calls relating to renewal of insurance product and offering add-on’s to product customers future travel needs and cover.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to utilise their natural ability to communicate and build rapport with a strong customer base, who return to this dedicated supplier year after year.

Salary: Offering a basic salary of £22,515 plus performance bonus of £1500 (per annum) along with benefits for all employees including private medical cover, Life assurance, Pension, discounted travel insurance and Eye Care vouchers.

Working Hours: 35 hours per week, semi-shift basis between 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday and Saturday 9am – 1pm.

Are you suitable for this role?

The ideal candidate will be educated to GCSE standard and have previous experience within a telephone-based customer service or sales environment, handling both inbound and outbound calls.  You should also be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes;

  •    Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent, including English Language and Maths
  •    Previous experience of working within a telephone sales environment, handling both inbound and outbound calls, working in a quality focused customer service environment.
  •    A good working knowledge of Word, Excel and web-based functionality
  •    Strong communication skills
  •    Excellent call handling ability
  •    Influencing and negotiation skills
  •    Travel insurance/Travel industry experience would beneficial to your application
