Our client is an independent, market leading commercial insurance brokerage based in Redhill and as the Account Handler the main purpose of your role will be to handle a book of motor trade insurance clients from the administration and mid-term adjustments to insurance renewals. Daily responsibilities will look something like this:

  •          To provide an efficient and effective service to customers, understanding their needs and requirements and working to exceed these.
  •          Build and maintain effective relationships with underwriters.
  •          Provide point of contact for customer enquiries, dealing with these through to a successful outcome.
  •          Question existing customers effectively to ensure renewal premium is based on correct information.
  •          Identify further selling opportunities (including up selling) and be able to close renewals effectively.
  •          Overcome objections to maximise sales opportunities.
  •          Explain the features and benefits of policies to clients.
  •          Accurately process documentation and send to clients in an effective and timely manner.
  •          Carry out any other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by your manager/team leader.

Are you the ideal candidate? 

The successful candidate will have held experience within an insurance setting, ideally within account handling or personal lines. You will also hold the ability to communicate effectively at all levels with the ability to overcome objectives and negotiate potential sales. Holding a strong worth ethic and professional approach, you will be capable of handling heavy workload and a large book of clients. Strong customer service/Administration background is essential.

Competitive Salary: £20,000 - £25,500 (possibly negotiable for experienced individuals) + commission – £4,200 annually (realistic)

Location: Redhill

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm
