Our client is a long established top 200 law firm with offices in Surrey and South West London, who are currently looking to recruit an experienced Senior Administrator to join their team in Oxted.

 

Let us tell you all about the role;

 

The purpose this role is to undertake fee earning work supervised by the Fee Earners and meet the billing targets associated with this. Being a dedicated Administrator for one of the largest clients held by Oxted your role will involve supporting a busy team in carrying out the administrative functions for this client in a timely and accurate manner.

 

The successful candidate will be expected to handle a high level of administration as well as fee earning work.  The successor will undertake a range of duties that will include:

  • Opening Files in accordance with the firm’s procedures
  • Generating documentation to a highest standard
  • Registering charges at the Land Registry
  • Filing documents at Companies House
  • Checking Title documentation
  • Producing bills in accordance with the firm’s procedures
  • write letters and produce documents in so far as possible in plain English and with a high quality of presentation

 

Will you be the successful applicant?

 

The ideal candidate will hold extensive administration experience. Whilst legal sector experience would be beneficial this is not essential, and the client is open to reviewing applicants whom hold alternative sector experience; however you must have the ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines, with the ability to manage multiple tasks at any given time.

 

Person Specification

  • Excellent life experience and working practice within an administrative post
  • Degree or CILEX qualification or proven relevant experience.
  • At least 1 year’s recent experience of Paralegal work working within the relevant area would be beneficial

  • Ability to prioritise and organise workload.
  • Ability to work within time constraints.
  • Ability to work as a pro-active team member.
  • Clear, concise and logical verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to use own initiative.
  • Ability to work as part of a team/work alone.

  • Ability to prioritise well and work under a tight time schedule.
  • Excellent user of email/word/excel, experience of using the internet for legal research.
  • Must have good attention to detail.
  • Must have good numerical skills
  • Good knowledge of legal terminology and principles.
  • The ability to analyse legal documents for accuracy.
  • The ability to perform legal research.

 

Salary: £22,000 - £28,000 depending on experience plus excellent benefits including a birthday voucher and day off, healthcare, pension and so much more!

Working hours: Full-time (Monday to Friday 9:00 – 17:00)

Location: Oxted
