People and Payroll Manager – 9 month FTC to cover maternity leave

Salary:            £26,000 to £30,000 pro rata

Hours:             Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm

What will your working week be like?

 

  • To manage Recruitment/liaise with recruitment agencies
  • To be responsible for the on‐boarding of new starters into the company including induction
  • To create contracts for new starters and update the job descriptions and contracts for current employees
  • Administration of the monthly payroll and overtime
  • To work with the outsourced payroll provider to co‐ordinate the smooth and accurate
  • To provide advice to colleagues on policies and processes
  • To manage the HR system
  • To manage the appraisal software and co‐ordinate appraisals with Department Heads
  • General HR admin and ad hoc office duties

 

Who will suit this role?

 

In order to be successful in this role you will be an experienced people person, with a working knowledge of HR procedures.

 

  • Experienced in recruitment and HR processes with a passion for people
  • Integrity to recognise the need for discretion and diplomacy
  • Excellence in time management and communication skills, along with being able to work under pressure.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to also work well as part of the team
  • Demonstrate a high level of organisation and to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft packages such as Excel and Word
