Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

We are currently looking to recruit for this leading Assistance and Personal Services provider based in the Croydon area, who can offer you all of the above and much, much more.

 

What will your working week be like?

 

The purpose of this role is to provide a professional, efficient and proactive warranty claims service, reflecting the brand values of our client. You will be handling all incoming calls in a polite, efficient and proactive manner, in line with the department service levels and company standards.

 

Main responsibilities include:

 

  • Ensure that the warranty is valid and that the claim requested is covered by the warranty and all claimed costs are within the agreed limits of the warranty scheme and meet with manufacturer recommendations.
  • Register all conversations and details of the claim onto the database.
  • Where a claim is deemed to be invalid and or is subject to partial denial of elements, advising the retailer/customer in a fair and reasonable manner.
  • Ensure that the retailers are adhering to warranty claim procedures and authority limits.
  • Electronic filing of warranty claims and supporting documentation, ensuring claims processed for payment are audit safe.
  • Collective responsibility to ensure claim payments are made within department time scales.

 

Who will this role suit?

 

The ideal candidate would hold a City and Guilds Motor Technician qualifications, or equivalent. You will also have experience of working within a corporate office environment.

 

Other skills and attributes:

 

  • Thorough knowledge of motor vehicle warranty and sound technical knowledge
  • Good commercial focus
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate confidently with dealers, clients, customers and suppliers
  • Flexible/adaptable to changing circumstances
  • Ability  to manage varying workloads whilst working under pressure and adhering to strict deadline
  • Committed to the ethos of service excellence.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels or the organisation
  • PC Literate with practical working knowledge of MS packages
  • Excellent telephone manner and written communication
  • Organised with strong administration skills
  • Previous experience of working within a warranty department.
