**** It is necessary that suitable candidates can achieve a security clearance. This means that suitable candidates must have been permanently resident in the UK for at least 5 years without any gaps in their residency/CV of more than 6 months****

Working for a global company that specialises in Satellite Communications, this is an exciting and interesting company looking for an HR Assistant to support the HR function with all aspects of administration including payroll and implementing policies and procedures.

What will your working week be like?

 

  • To assist with the day to day operations of the HR functions and duties
  • To work closely with various departments as needed, assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures, interpreting and advising them on employment law
  • To assist line managers with both implementing disciplinary procedures and dealing with grievances
  • To manage and maintain in an efficient manner all personnel, pensions and training files
  • To assist with Training activity – update training plan, book courses, answer queries, update training records and ensure compliance with procedures
  • To manage private medical membership administration – joiners, leavers, changes of cover with provider and answer queries
  • To manage pension administration – joiners, leavers, amendments and answering queries from providers and employees
  • To assist with ISO 9001 Audit for HR and Training related areas and to ensure that documentation is up to date and complete
  • To maintain HR related spreadsheets and data, such as salary & sickness statistics, job grading, qualifications, birthdays, leavers etc
  • To assist with HR employee lifecycle administration – new starters, leavers etc
  • To assist with recruitment, which involves developing job descriptions and person specifications, preparing job adverts
  • To process documentation relating to personnel activities
  • To deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules and regulations
  • To maintain sickness reporting documentation and reports
  • To process the Payroll for the various companies and complete relevant statutory reporting
  • To assist with benefit administration

  

Who will suit this role?

 

  • Previous HR experience essential
  • Good telephone manner and communication skills
  • Willingness to be a proactive team player
  • Must have ability to achieve Security Clearance
  • Payroll experience required
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Organised with the ability to multi task and prioritise work
  • The ability to work to deadlines
