We are excited to announce we are currently looking to recruit a Business Service Manager to join THE employer of all employers based in Redhill. Our client is one of the largest financial groups in the work and are renown for providing a first-class service, currently have a rare opportunity to join the organisation and become part of a hugely successful team.

About the role:

At any one point in time our client will have multiple projects running and they are currently looking for a Business Service Manager to join them to act as point of contact for all requests to them regarding general issues and reporting needs.

This person will be responsible for managing the relationships with all of the stakeholders and the delivery team to aid project prioritisation, getting business case, representation of projects into Project Forum, track/report progress internally and to all stakeholders on delivery of assigned projects in terms of budget, schedule, risk & issues, quality.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Main point of contact for all internal and external stakeholders and to control and manage these relationships
  • Prioritising, agreeing and negotiating priorities with all parties
  • Responsible for managing and circulating all requests of information for internal & external reporting (including but not limited to - board, governance committees, forums, suppliers, vendors, regulators, across the business)
  • Liaising with delivery teams and stakeholders for end-to-end requirements, project delivery (budget, schedule, risk & issues, quality) and ensuring that project deliverables meet everyone’s requirements
  • Liaise with various internal and external delivery teams to help drive most appropriate project approach & methodology in agreement with stakeholders for project delivery
  • Working with various internal and external delivery teams for liaising the project plans with appropriate milestones, defining tasks and allocating adequate level of resources for delivery and the transition of the project into BAU as part of an agreed service transition plan
  • Creation of effective communication plans and communication with stakeholders including governance meetings, periodic & adhoc communications to stakeholders
  • Organise and facilitate meetings with project team members and provide clear and effective feedback
  • Manage budget, scope and project schedule, tracking deliverables and reporting on project health – progress, risk, dependencies, resourcing, schedule and deliverables etc.
  • Present reports to stakeholders on progress, including risks, issues and suggested mitigation plan regarding successful uninterrupted agreed delivery in agreement with stakeholders
  • Evaluate and assess the results of the project which may include ‘lessons learned’ as well as benefits realisation assessments
  • Deal with or escalate any identified risks in relation to company risk policies and/or legislative and regulatory guidelines in accordance with risk framework

Who would suit this role?

  • Significant practical experience in a similar role with demonstrable knowledge and expertise of successfully delivering leasing and / or automotive projects to time, budget and quality
  • Experience of working in an established organisation offering leasing / contract hire with off the shelf technology packages including vendor selection and implementation
  • Proven experience delivering projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Experience of hybrid working with multiple stakeholders (internal, external, 3rd party stakeholders)
  • Evidence of successfully delivering Business projects (application development, Software as a Service and infrastructure) and a good understanding of IT service delivery
  • Experience of preparing forecast/estimation with BA & relevant stakeholders and tracking against approved budget
  • Background in Financial Services industry desirable
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with all stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated initiative and commitment for results and the ability to set priorities and manage multiple initiatives
  • Previous experience in managing multiple relationships and managing expectations
