Working within a successful College group based at their Redhill site, with the potential of some travel to South Croydon, the Recruitment Coordinator will be responsible for recruitment activity within allocated client areas.  This is a busy, fast paced environment, so ensuring consistent, thorough and timely recruitment as per Group process is essential.  In order to source high quality candidates, innovative resourcing solutions will be required and the jobholder must build relationships with external suppliers as well as working closely with internal employees at all levels.

What will your working week be like?

  • Coordinate recruitment within defined business areas to ensure that this is effective, timely and in line with legislation.
  • Directly source appropriate candidates for the vacant roles you coordinate, by using social media, networking, job boards, the College (and/or College Group) website and all media available and appropriate.
  • In conjunction with the Recruitment Advisor identify cost effective and efficient job boards and social media applications to utilise for resourcing purposes across the College Group.
  • Support recruiting managers throughout the recruitment process, providing them with information in a timely manner that allows them to make sound recruitment decisions.
  • Make verbal offers of employment to your candidates after gaining appropriate approval and add all new starters for the College Group to Agresso
  • Liaise with the HR team to ensure that accurate offer letters, contracts of employment and other relevant employment information is issued to prospective candidates as appropriate.
  • Organise and attend recruitment events where appropriate, such as recruitment fairs.
  • Cover the HR Administrator and Recruitment Advisor, when required, regarding all recruitment and onboarding activity.
  • Ensure that recruitment activity is recorded in an accurate and timely manner within the HR reporting system.
  • Utilise the College Group online recruitment system, producing reports on recruitment statistics, ensuring that an up to date and comprehensive record of all your candidates is maintained which satisfies legal, audit and SLA requirements.

Will you suit this role?

Working within a fast-paced, often pressurised but very friendly Recruitment & HR Team. You should be able to remain focused when working to deadlines, have strong communication and organisational skills. along with the following:

  • Educated to a minimum A-Level standard (or equivalent)
  • Maths & English GCSE / Level 2 equivalent
  • Proven experience in a Recruitment role with similar responsibilities, including resourcing and recruiting candidates to a range of roles
  • In house recruitment experience would be beneficial
  • Experience of working successfully in a fast-paced office environment
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • Familiarity and utilisation of CV databases, job boards and social media for candidate attraction
  • Excellent and professional communication skills, both verbal and in writing
  • Experience in an educational, or regulated, environment would be ideal
  • Have the technological ability to complete work both on Campus and remotely, to include experience of utilising voice conferencing, ideally via Microsoft Teams, and of working from home
