Due to exceptional growth and future plans, our Hemel Hempstead based client is looking to recruit an exceptional Accounts Payable Manager.

You will be entitled to a starting salary of circa £30,000 (DOE) plus benefits including; 21 days holiday – increasing with service and half days holiday on your birthday, group pension, health cash plan, life insurance, monthly gym membership contribution, free will writing service, free breakfast, study and training support and onsite parking.

The Accounts Payable Manager will be responsible for managing the Accounts Payable team which currently consists of three (3) Accounts Payable Clerks, within a rapidly growing Finance team of eleven (11).

The ideal candidate will have previous experience successfully managing an Accounts Payable team within a high transactional business. The Accounts Payable team process circa 45,000 invoices per annum and 70% of those invoices are electronically uploaded via an EDI solution. You will have management experience, as well as exposure to the full 360 Accounts payable process. You will hold strong literacy and numeracy skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines within a fast paced environment.

This is a hybrid role, the successful candidate will be required to be based in the Head Office, located in Hemel Hempstead, a minimum of three (3) days per week.

You will be responsible for…

Amongst many other tasks, the Accounts payable Manager be monitoring performance and productivity, offering ways of supporting the team and working with the Accounts payable Clerks to aid their development and growth within the business. Carrying out regular 1;1 reviews, probations reviews, annual performance reviews etc and Assist with the recruitment and selection process within the Accounts Payable team.

As a point of contact for queries and resolving issues, you will manage anything escalated to your position; resolving finance queries via a ticketing system within agreed timelines.
