We are currently recruiting for a Sales Executive to work for a well-established, competitive and unique brand who has been offering a service to their specific industries for over 30 years. They are a leading competitor within the insurance industry, based in Sutton, who offers a great working environment and progression opportunities.

Offering a competitive salary of £18,000 - £20,000 DOE (could be negotiable depending on experience) plus bonus and excellent benefits including 28 days holiday plus your birthday off, stakeholder pension scheme, flexitime system (up to 10 ‘flex’ days per year), Perkbox and Perkbox medical, 7 hour working day, regular performance reviews and lots more!

This role would be idea for somebody with previous office and hair and beauty experience. An excellent and proactive telephone manner is essential together with a desire to write new business and earn commission.  The commission is uncapped but can take earnings to circa £30k per annum on average.

As part of the Sales Team the role will require you to make sales and market products via incoming customer calls and outbound calls. You will be required to maintain thorough understanding of products, process sales and meet sales targets.

You will take ownership of leads by using a confident sales approach, building rapport and providing the highest levels or service at all times; actively asking open questions to understand all relevant customer information, establish needs and explain product features clearly and accurately

Delivering against agreed sales KPI targets, you will explain features and benefits to customers and assist them with locating the best products to meet their needs

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will currently be working in the insurance sector, however will also suit someone with a strong level of customer service experience, where they are responsible for the upsell of additional products or services; experience of selling products face to face or via the telephone. You will have previous track record of hitting and exceeding targets.

Customers trust and respect the clients brand and therefore the sales technique is more subtle than some other sales positions.  The 'Typical Sales person' is not essential; however, the successful applicant will be confident, outgoing and personable, with the natural ability to deal with customers at all levels.

You must have the ability to learn new technical skills and the ability to explain the company covers and benefits in terms of which will be understood by each and every customer.
