We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager (maternity cover), to work for a leading financial services organisation, in Redhill, whom offer continued growth and development for all employees. Working for this global employer, this role sits within a digital marketplace which provides dealers with a low-cost service to advertise their used stock online directly to customers. The marketplace will be promoted to customers who will be able to browse for vehicles online and compare cars across various dealerships. If they register interest in a vehicle with a dealer and subsequently buy, they will receive a reward.

The role of the Operations Manager will be to manage the day-to-day delivery of agreed SLA’s within the operations area, being accountable for leading a team of direct reports and ensuring they are enabled to carry out their work effectively. You will play a pivotal role within this exciting new area of the business to ensure direct reports are adequately trained and supported to carry out their role effectively. Responsible for the daily running and management of any new function, this will include ongoing refinement of operational processes, tracking team performance v SLAs, resource planning as well as planning areas of improvement or development.

Duties to include:

  •          Liaising with the Dealer Develop Team to ensure continuous engagement with the Sales Team and providing training and feedback when required
  •          Creating and overseeing the distribution of reports for the sales team to ensure both teams are working together to achieve shared objectives
  •          Being accountable for the construction and signoff of operational processes and procedures, managing their relevance and ensuring they meet compliance approval
  •          Implementation and development of systems within operation including Giftpay, DocuSign and Zendesk and ensuring they are effectively being utilised and efficient with day-to-day activity
  •          Responsible for MI Reporting to internal and external stakeholders, reporting KPI’s weekly to team

Who will suit this role?

The successful applicant will have previous call centre customer service experience as well as, experience within a role with responsibility working in an operational environment at senior level. You will also hold the following experience and skill set:

  •          Demonstrable hands-on team leadership skills and experience
  •          Ability to identify teams abilities and lead them to success
  •          Experience in tracking operational processes and suggesting and implementing improvements where necessary
  •          Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels – internally and externally
  •          Strong team player and someone who strives for success
  •          Knowledge of Customer Service and New Business departments and their importance to each other
  •          High level of organisation and prioritisation skills with the ability to multitask and manage your own work
