YourRecruit our excited to be working with an established e-commerce-enabled retailer of timber buildings and associated garden leisure products, who are currently in search of a Showroom Sales Associate.

 

This role will be situated at the newly placed showsite in Salfords, Surrey (near Gatwick) however due to temporary working arrangements during the movement and social restrictions, the successful candidate will be based from their main site in Horsham.

 

The purpose of this role will be to manage and operate as the sole representative at this new showsite and therefore will be required to gain rapid and thorough knowledge of the product ranges. You will have the ability to engage with customers face to face, however, during “these times” you will be operating via telephone, email and Livechat instead of face to face.

 

With recent times in mind, many people have been renovating their homes and gardens, and as such our client have seen an increase in sales of their high-end timber buildings and leisure products, therefore the successful Showroom Sales Associate needs to be comfortable handling high-end products and have the passion, knowledge, and communication skills to provide customers the confidence to buy.

 

Will you have the experience needed for this role?

 

You will have gained experience within a professional setting that believes in offering first class customer service. You must offer a friendly yet professional service and be a true peoples person.

 

  • You should be presentable and personable and be able to exercise a high level of listening skills.
  • Trades/construction background required
  • The ability to manage and complete a customer transaction from end-to-end, including accurate documentation.
  • In-depth knowledge of CRM systems
  • High proficiency in MS Excel, including advanced formulae and calculations
  • The maintenance of the showsite including use of an electric pallet truck and ad-hoc repairs when necessary

 

Should you not hold experience within a niche trades/construction setting, you may come from an alternative face to face sales environment, maybe you are working within:

  • Leisure buildings sales
  • Car sales
  • Estate agency
  • Manufactured products sales

 

Salary: £18,000-£22,000 + Commission Plan (paid for 5 full days’ work, no pro-ration for weekend days)

 

Hours of work: Full-time, Saturday* (9-5pm) and Sunday* (11-5pm) plus 3 weekdays (to be agreed) 8-5pm

NB: FULL DRIVING LICENCE AND OWN TRANSPORT ESSENTIAL DUE TO LOCATION.

 

To add: Minimum 6 secondary-level/equivalent passes including English, Mathematics and ICT
