Our client is a small, family run chain of nurseries with beautiful and spacious settings, where the staff get to feel valued and make a difference to the lives of the children in your care.

Come and join a fun, friendly and supportive team who are looking for a Preschool Deputy Room Leader based at their Petts Wood setting.

Duties:

 

  • To ensure a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for all children in the nursery
  • To give support to other team members within the nursery
  • To work as part of a team in order to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, learn and develop
  • Formulate and operate a programme of activities that meet the individual needs and interests of children in your area in conjunction with other team members and the Manager
  • To keep records of your key children’s development and learning journeys, share this with parents, carers and other key adults in the child’s life and institute reviews for parents, in conjunction with the Manager
  • To ensure staff produce accurate and effective observations of their children using the observation Sheet provided by the Nursery.
  • To use observations and evidence gathered to assess the effectiveness of the learning environment and the child’s progress

Requirements:

  • An ability to use own initiative and be flexible
  • A commitment to quality early years education and to working in partnership with parents and other professionals
  • At least NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent
